The Izaak Walton is inviting the public to come out for a Red Ryder BB gun shoot. On February 18, 2023, from 10 am to 3 pm. Kids and adults are welcome to bring their own Red Ryder style bb guns and receive shooting instruction from a certified firearms instructor inside our clubhouse.You will need to have safety glasses to shoot. We will also have BB guns on hand and Eyeware if someone is without them.
Toddler Time: Cuddly Critters February 3
Toddler Time: Cuddly Critters will be held on February 3, from 10-11:30 a.m. The event will take place at the Benton County Nature Center located at 5718 20th Ave. Dr., Vinton. Join us for Cuddle Critters where we will learn about some of Iowa's cutest critters. The program will include a book and puppets. Toddler time is suitable for kids under the age of 5. The Vinton American Legion will hold a tenderloin dinner on FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.Cost for the Tenderloin Dinner is $15.00 and includes: tenderloin, french fries, cole slaw and a dessert. The legion is located at 105 N. R Ave. in Vinton.
Building Better Birders Workshop
Benton County Conservation will be offering a workshop about birds. The class will be held on January 20, 2023 at the Beneton County Nature Center located at 5718 20th Ave. Dr., Vinton. The class begins at 9:00 a.m. and will run until 3:00 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Christmas Dinner for those Alone or Without on Christmas
The Vinton Presbyterian Church will serve the community this Christmas with a meal provided for those alone or in need of a little Christmas this year. The free Christmas dinner will be served on Christmas Day, December 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.An RSVP is required by December 19.
